Black Powder Militia Muster
Saturday July 22nd, 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
The Arkansas Militia is now recruiting! Join Davidsonville Park Staff for a morning of marching, musketry demonstration, and cannon fire. Participants of all ages will learn how early Arkansas was kept safe, discover how to march with a musket, and witness the explosive firepower the militia had at its disposal.

Candle Making Workshop
Saturday August 5th, 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Candles were a vital part of frontier life and pioneers had to make their own with the materials they had on hand. Join the park interpreter to learn the history of candle making and make your own hand dipped candles. Supplies will be provided and you can take home your candles. Must be 10 years or older. Space is limited and early registration is required. Call the park to sign up.
Cost: $15 per person

Black River Ramble
Saturday August 12th, Beginning at 9:00 a.m.
Join park staff and explore the importance of rivers with a float on the Black River from Davidsonville to Powhatan. We will stop along the way for lunch and a tour of an old button factory site. Once at Powhatan, explore the old river town and courthouse while learning about the promise and perils of life on the river. Lunch and canoes will be provided. Must be 13 years or older. Space is limited and early registration is required. Contact the park to register.
