What began as a medical call at the Greyhound Diner quickly grew into a large scene in Imboden On Monday. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the area of the Greyhound Diner on Hwy 63 after reports of a male subject bleeding from his head walking in and out of traffic. Deputies and AET Ambulance responded and made contact with the subject at 12:35 pm. Once contact was made the subject was described as uncooperative and was detained by law enforcement. While Detained, the subject claimed he’d set his own residence on fire.
 
At 12:38 pm the Lawrence County Dispatch received a 911 call reporting a house fire on the 200 block of North Kentucky. The Imboden Volunteer Fire Department was paged to the scene, firefighters arrived and reported smoke coming from the attic of the home. Ravenden Volunteer Fire Department was paged for manpower at 12:49 pm quickly followed by a request for the Black Rock Volunteer Fire Department.
 
Firefighters were able to quickly get the fire under control but the residence sustained heavy damage.
 
The subject involved (name withheld at this time pending formal charges) was taken by Sheriff’s Deputies to Lawrence Memorial Hospital for a health and mental evaluation. No other injuries were reported in the incident. Entergy was requested to the scene to disconnect the power to the structure.
 
At 1:12 pm Fire Chief Jim Jones stated the fire was knocked down and cancelled any additional help as firefighters put out additional hot spots.
