Lake Charles State Park 50th Anniversary

Memorial Day weekend will be busy for Arkansas State Parks. Lake Charles State Park will also be celebrating the park’s 50th Anniversary. Join everyone on Saturday, May 27th for a celebration that you don’t want to miss.
Lake Charles State Park will be hosting live music and kids’ activities. We’ll top the day off with the history of the park and the people behind its creation.

Lake Charles State Park is located just outside of Powhatan, AR in Lawrence County. The park offers camping, fishing, day use, and nature-related interpretive programming. The park is one of the 52 state parks administered by the State Parks Division of the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism.
