Representatives from Williams Baptist College have delivered books they collected recently for an Arkansas Baptist Children’s Homes (ABC Homes) facility in Paragould. The books are to be used at the group’s emergency receiving home.

Williams students, faculty and staff donated the books during the Scholastic Book Fair, held March 6-14 at WBC’s Felix Goodson Library. The books ranged in reading ability from grades 1-12.

Eddie and Jamie Bennett, house parents at the Paragould facility, received the books from Joel Olive, public services supervisor at Goodson Library, Hayes Howell, WBC’s campus minister, and Williams students Hannah Cates and Hannah Estes.

The Paragould facility is part of a network of emergency receiving homes operated by ABC Homes, providing immediate sanctuary for children in need of emergency care. Many of the children in the agency’s emergency shelters have been abused, abandoned or neglected.

Williams is a four-year, liberal arts college in Walnut Ridge.
