Around noon today the Walnut Ridge Police along with ADCC Special Response Team, Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office and Arkansas State Police served two search warrants simultaneously after receiving information about the possible whereabouts of Carson Gates who had been on the run since October 28th.

Gates was wanted for questioning in six vehicle burglaries in the Walnut Ridge area and jumped out a window to elude police on the 28th of October. Chief Chris Kirksey had taken the search to social media to develop leads as to his location and warned anyone harboring Gates they would be charged if caught assisting the fugitive.

Officers served one warrant on a residence in Hoxie and a second was served at the same time at 1804 Ashley where Gates was found to be hiding in the air conditioning ducts of that residence.

Gates was arrested along with three others the were harboring the fugitive. Also arrested was Lester “Gator” Gates, 49 years old, Madison Brooks 18 years old and Harley Kincade 20 years old. All three have been booked and charged with Class C Felony Hindering Apprehension, Carson Gates, Madison Brooks and Harley Kincade were booked into the Lawrence County Jail and Lester “Gator” Gates was taken to the Jackson County Jail to be held.

Walnut Ridge Chief Chris Kirksey wished to thank those agencies who assisted Walnut Ridge in the arrest of Carson Gates and those involved in harboring the fugitive.
