On October 8th residents of the Black Rock Fire District who do not have smoke alarms in their homes are urged to stop by and visit the Black Rock Fire Department. As part of National Fire Prevention Week the Black Rock Fire Department has partnered with the American Red Cross to distribute and install smoke detectors to those in need.
Residents simply need to stop in and visit the fire department on October 8th and request a smoke alarm, firefighters will then go to the home and install the new detectors for the resident.
Other activities are scheduled for the day at the Black Rock Fire Department, residents are urged to stop and visit their local fire department.
