Henry Boyce, Third Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney, announced today James Tyler Shephard, 34, of Pocahontas pled guilty to two counts of Theft of Property and one count of Breaking or Entering in cases involving the theft of dogs from Randolph County in 2014. Shepherd was sentenced to 60 months of supervised probation, assessed court costs and fines, and was ordered to pay $10,000.00 in restitution.

Boyce said, “After preparing for trial which included summoning out-of-state witnesses I am glad to see the defendant admit his guilt in this case.”
