On August 20 the Walnut Ridge Police arrested Ada Dumonte of Marmaduke on charges of DWI, No Proof Of Insurance, Careless or Prohibited Driving, Disorderly Conduct, Refusal To Submit To A Chemical Test and Assault On A Detention Officer.
As the female was brought into the Lawrence County Jail she began to struggle with officers and then spit on several of the Detention Officers.
Ironically this is not the first incident of violence against officers for Ada Dumonte, in October 2014 she was arrested and charged with Battery 2nd Degree/Injuries on Police a Felony and Domestic Battery 3rd Degree in Craighead County. Dumonte has a lengthy record dating back to 2007 including several resisting arrest and alcohol related charges.
