At 4 pm on Friday the Lawrence County Dispatch received a call reporting a camper on fire at the Sloan Durham Farm located at the intersection of Lawrence 273 and 274.
Smithville Fire Department was paged to the scene, several firefighters were in route within minutes. A medical unit also checked in route for standby at the scene. At 4:07 pm the Lynn Fire Department for mutual aide by Chief Wes Lillard of the Smithville Fire Department.
Lynn was in route within minutes with equipment and additional firefighters. At 4:12 pm Smithville Fire reported heavy smoke from the scene as units from Smithville arrived on scene at 4:13 pm.
At 4:17 pm Smithville advised the camper trailer was a total loss and units were attempting to keep the fire from spreading to the nearby woods.
No word on the cause of the fire, not injuries were reported in the incident.
