Two male suspects are behind bars after a shooting spree in Walnut Ridge On Saturday night. According to reports around 8:45 pm on Saturday night the Lawrence County Dispatch received a report of shots being fired into a house located on Hazel Street in Walnut Ridge. Witnesses reported hearing between 3 and 5 shots from a vehicle with at least one striking a residence on Hazel where a mother and child we inside the home. The bullet traveled through the child’s bedroom window, through the bedroom wall into the parents bedroom where it landed on the floor.

A second residence in the area was fired on as well as a vehicle on a local car lot being struck by a round, all from the suspected vehicle described as a pewter or silver pickup truck with loud exhaust. Units from the Walnut Ridge Police Department and Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to the area. Officers began an intensive search of the area for the suspect vehicle.

Within minutes units advised they had the suspected vehicle on a traffic stop, 18 year old Larry Parrish of Alicia was arrested and charged with Criminal Mischief 1st Degree, Terroristic Act, Discharging A Firearm With City Limits, Minor In Possession. Also arrested and charged in the incident was 19 year old Gregory Berry also of Walnut Ridge with Criminal Mischief 1st Degree, Terroristic Act and Minor In Possession.

At this time investigators have not released if the residences were targeted by the two suspects of if it was random acts of violence.

One of the victims reached out to Imbodenlive wishing to remain anonymous stated the family wished to commend both Walnut Ridge and Lawrence County Officers for the quick response and coordinated effort in finding and arresting the individuals involved in the shooting. No injuries were reported in any of the shooting incidents.

Both Larry Parrish and Gregory Berry are being held in the Lawrence County Jail awaiting a Bond Hearing and Court Date.
