Lawrence County Dispatch received a 911 call reporting a one vehicle accident with injuries just past the Lake Charles State Park on Hwy 25 Thursday afternoon.
Black Rock Fire along with medical units and Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies were sent to the scene. The van apparently left the roadway and struck a tree injuring the driver.
The driver was transported for what are being described as non-life threatening injuries. Air bags deployed in the vehicle and the driver was reportedly wearing a seatbelt. Traffic was slowed until the vehicle could be removed.
