The body of a missing Ravenden Springs man was recovered shortly after noon on Wednesday. Search crews met early Wednesday at the Ravenden Springs Volunteer Fire Department, those in attendance were members of the Ravenden Springs Fire, Randolph County Sheriff’s Department, Lawrence County Sheriff’s Dive Team, Lawrence County Office of Emergency Services, Maynard Fire Department, Arkansas State Parks and others.

On Tuesday morning a “BOLO” Be On The Look Out was issued for a Kevin Decker after his vehicle crashed near his residence and he was seen leaving the accident by residents. Crews worked Tuesday into Tuesday night before calling the search off due to weather.

On Wednesday the search resumed with searchers doing grid searches in the wooded area around the crash scene. Civil Air Patrol contacted a local pilot to fly the area, a helicopter was in route and search dogs had been called to assist the ground personal, according to reports when the aircraft was circling to fly back over the searchers, what was believed to be a body was scene beside a pond in a field near the area. Sheriff Tribble called off the search after it was confirmed to be the missing male subject.

Randolph County Investigators were on scene until the body was removed by the Coroner. An official cause of death is not known at this time. The body will be transported to the State Medical Examiners Office for an autopsy.
