(Walnut Ridge, Ark.) – The spring semester is underway at Williams Baptist College, and with it comes celebration of the college’s diamond anniversary. The liberal arts college at Walnut Ridge was founded in 1941, and WBC is set to celebrate the 75-year mark throughout 2016.

“Our diamond anniversary is a great time to pause and reflect on all that Williams Baptist College has become over the past 75 years,” said Dr. Tom Jones, WBC’s president. “For seven and a half decades, Williams has fostered academic excellence and Christian commitment. As a result it is now a national leader in providing high-quality,affordable Christian education. It’s a great tribute to the college’s founders.”
Williams commissioned a 75th anniversary logo that can be seen all around campus and in the college’s publicity this year.

Commemorative chapel services, giveaways, weekly trivia, and more will take place all year long. WBC’s fall homecoming festivities will serve as the finale to the year of celebration, with several special events ready to take place.
