Authorities in Lawrence County are searching for a missing juvenile from the Annieville area. On Wednesday morning the Lawrence County Dispatch received a 911 call from a parent reporting the son missing.

According to reports, 15 year old Johnnie Scales of Lawrence 132 Imboden was last seen around 9:30 pm on Tuesday night at his home. When his mother checked on him in the early hours of Wednesday morning Johnnie Scales was not in the home. Johnnie Scales is described as 5 foot 6 inches tall and approximately 120 pound with blonde hair.

Deputies from the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office took the report and issued a BOLO “Be On The Lookout” for Lawrence County and surrounding areas. Deputies continued to search the area Wednesday throughout the day.

Wednesday afternoon the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Dive Team with assistance from the Arkansas State Parks and Black Rock Police Department launched a search of the area around the family home in hopes of developing leads. Thermal Imaging was used to search the fields after dark while door-to- door searches of cabins, out buildings and barns were conducted. Searchers made contact with residents in the area asking for any information but no new leads were developed. Several of Johnnie’s friends and classmates were contacted in hopes of finding the possible whereabouts of the missing juvenile. Searchers were in the field until midnight before calling off the search for the evening.

According to the mother, nothing has been discovered as missing from the child’s room or the home. Johnnie changed out of his sleepwear but a clothing description was unknown. At this time if anyone has information about possible social media contact or perhaps cell phone contact with Johnnie Scales you are urged to contact the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office at 870-886-2525 or tips@lawrencecountysheriffsoffice.com .

Authorities are asking if anyone witnessed a person matching the description walking, hitchhiking or getting into a vehicle in the area to please report it. Johnnie Scales reportedly does not have a cell phone that the family is aware of.
