At 5:14 am on Wednesday the Lawrence County Dispatch received a 911 call of an accident at Sedgwick. The called informed dispatch that the accident involved a truck and a small passenger vehicle with possible entrapment.
Sedgwick Fire Department, Hoxie Fire Department, Medic One Ambulance and AET Ambulance were all dispatched to the area of the intersection of Hwy 63 and Hwy 228. Sedgwick firefighters arrived on scene and reported there were no trapped victims but two with injuries.
Two victims were transported to area hospitals for treatment of injuries, no report on extent of injuries. Lawrence County Deputies were sent to the scene to investigate the accident. Traffic was slowed for a period of time before the scene was cleared up.
