At 12:29 pm on Tuesday the Lawrence County Dispatch received a phone call from a residence on Lawrence 288 reporting a female at the residence was threatening harm to herself and others. Dispatch paged the Strawberry Fire Department and an ambulance from AET along with Lawrence County Deputies to the address.
As details came in from the scene it was alleged the 43 year old female was threatening harm to herself and two sons with a knife. Medical responders arrived on scene first and relayed information back to dispatch stating the woman was being restrained by family members until law enforcement could arrive on scene.
Shortly after a deputy arrived on scene and the woman was taken into custody at the residence, no injuries were reported. The female was taken to the Lawrence County Jail where she will be evaluated, no word on charges at this time.
