37 year old Kevin Thomas Long was sentenced to 40 years in the Arkansas Department Of Corrections according to a statement from Prosecutor Henry Boyce’s Office. Long was the driver of a dump truck that crossed the center line on Arkansas 226 in October 2012 in Jackson County and struck a vehicle driven by Andrea Benham killing her, sister Felicia Davis and Davis’ unborn child. Two minor children in the back seat of the vehicle survived.image

Long’s blood was tested by the Arkansas Crime Lab and found to have intoxicating levels of Meth in his system at the time of the accident. Long was also charged with possessing a large amount of meth in March 2013 after it was discovered in a traffic stop.
 

Long was convicted of three counts of Negligent Homicide and Possession of a Controlled Substance with intent to deliver.
