On Tuesday, the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Dive Team was contacted by Walnut Ridge Mayor Charles Snapp. The team was surprised with a generous donation of dive gear from Snapp.
The gift included several tanks, buoyancy compensators, travel bags, fins and much more. Snapp, an avid outdoorsman and accomplished diver stated he appreciated the volunteer efforts of the team and wanted to pass along the gear. According to team members, the gear will all be inspected and placed into service immediately. Also team members expressed the appreciation for the support from people like Mayor Charles Snapp, without local support the team would struggle to stay successful.
