Warmer temperatures across the area combined with outdoor burns and windy conditions made for a busy day for area firefighters.

On Sunday the Ravenden Volunteer Fire Department was paged to 313 Bear Bluff Trail to a wild land fire. Ravenden rolled trucks and manpower to the area. As Ravenden was in route, the Imboden Volunteer Fire Department was called to a residence behind Dickson Subdivision for a wild land fire that got out of hand and crossed property lines into a neighbors field. Imboden sent it’s Rescue 4 to the fire which was extinguished quickly.

The Hoxie Fire Department was sent to an address on Hates Street at 2:42 pm Sunday. Firefighters discovered it was a control burn once on scene.

Black Rock Volunteer Firefighters responded to 266 Hilltop in Black Rock after an out of control brush fire was reported to the dispatch center.

At 3:47 pm the Lynn Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to brush fires at 50 Lawrence 3230. Lynn sent several trucks and firemen to extinguish the blaze.

Although several fire departments were out on Sunday, no loss of buildings or homes were reported.
