Around 4:30 pm the Craighead County Sheriff’s Office notified the Lawrence County Dispatch of a police impersonator in Craighead County.
According to reports, a subject was stopped by a black sedan with a red stripe at the intersection of Hwy 91 and Hwy 18 in Craighead County. The vehicle was driven by a white male with blonde hair dressed in all black.
Lawrence County Officers were dispatched to the Lawrence/Craighead line to possibly intercept the vehicle. According to Craighead County they did not have a direction of travel. Craighead County notified all surrounding counties about the incident.
