Trial by Jury Dinner Party at Powhatan Historic State Park

Over 135 years ago, David Kahn was accused of murdering a horse thief. His trial was full of surprises and intrigues that would rival any modern crime drama. Next Saturday, September 13, guests at Powhatan Historic State Park’s Trial by Jury Dinner Party will re-enact the sensational trial.

The evening begins at 6 p.m. with a Dutch oven dinner. After enjoying the evening meal, guests will proceed to the 1888 Courtroom. There they will take part in a living history drama, playing the roles of defendant, witnesses, lawyers, and jurors to determine the fate of David Kahn. Participants may dress casually or wear their favorite 19th century costume.

The cost is $15 per person, and pre-registration is required. For more information, or to register, contact the park at 870-878-6765 or email powhatan@arkansas.com.
