Williams Baptist College will host its “5 to 1” student ministry conference on Friday, April 11, and Saturday, April 12, in WBC’s Maddox Center. Sessions will be held from 7:00-8:30 p.m. on Friday night and 8:30 a.m. until 12 noon on Saturday.

Dr. Walter Norvell, assistant professor of Christian ministries at Williams, is responsible for organizing the event. “The 5 to 1 Youth Ministry Conference seeks to equip churches and families with information and skills so teens can be surrounded with many caring adults who will help them develop life-long faith,” he said.

The weekend’s featured speaker will be Dr. Alvin Reid, professor of evangelism and student ministry at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Attendees of the conference will receive a copy of Reid’s book, As You Go: Creating a Missional Culture of Gospel-Centered Students.

The cost is $10 per participant, but there will be no charge for individuals who wish to share Reid’s book. Reservations are helpful by April 7. For more information, contact Norvell at 870-759-4150 or by email at wnorvell@wbcoll.edu.
