Make your own chocolates to give your sweetheart on Valentine’s day
using this homemade chocolate truffle recipe.
1 package cream cheese
3 cups powdered sugar
12 (1 ounce) squares BAKER’S semi-sweet baking chocolate, melted
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
Suggested coatings, chopped walnuts or pecans, unsweetened cocoa,
powdered sugar or coconut. (I rolled half of mine in cocoa and half in
Beat cream cheese in large bowl with an electric mixer until smooth.
Gradually add sugar, mixing until well blended.
Add melted chocolate and vanilla; mix well.
Refrigerate 1 hour or until chilled.
Shape into 1-inch balls. Roll in walnuts, cocoa, powdered sugar or coconut.
Place each truffle in a small baking cup and keep stored in refrigerator.
