* ICE/SLEET ACCUMULATIONS… ONE QUARTER OF AN INCH OF ICE AND ONE TO TWO INCHES OF SNOW AND SLEET.
* TIMING… 6 AM CST THROUGH 6 PM CST TODAY.
* IMPACTS… ROADS AND ESPECIALLY BRIDGES WILL BECOME SLICK AND HAZARDOUS. DOWNED TREES AND POWER LINES MAY RESULT IN POWER OUTAGES.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…
A WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW… SLEET… AND ICE ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. STRONG WINDS ARE ALSO POSSIBLE. THIS WILL MAKE TRAVEL VERY HAZARDOUS OR IMPOSSIBLE.

.DEEP MOISTURE WILL SPREAD NORTHEAST ACROSS THE MID SOUTH THIS MORNING. TEMPERATURES WILL BE AT OR BELOW FREEZING THIS MORNING ALONG AND NORTH OF A LINE FROM MARIANNA ARKANSAS TO COVINGTON TENNESSEE TO UNION CITY TENNESSEE. FREEZING RAIN WILL BE COMMON ACROSS THESE AREAS THIS MORNING WITH SOME SLEET AND SNOW ALSO POSSIBLE ACROSS NORTHEAST ARKANSAS AND THE MISSOURI BOOTHEEL. TEMPERATURES WILL SLOWLY WARM THIS AFTERNOON ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE ADVISORY AREA WITH ANY FREEZING RAIN TRANSITIONING TO RAIN. FURTHER NORTHWEST ACROSS THE WINTER STORM WARNING AREA… TEMPERATURES SHOULD REMAIN BELOW FREEZING THROUGH THE ENTIRE EVENT WITH SIGNIFICANT ICE ALONG WITH SOME SLEET AND SNOW ANTICIPATED.
