On November 21, 2013 the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office arrested George Nelson, age 45,  of Hardy for breaking and entering, theft of property and criminal trespassing.

The arrest comes after a Ravenden area man reported that a Harley Davidson motorcycle had been stolen out of a shed on his property.

Deputies took the report and entered the motorcycle nationwide as stolen. Missouri Highway Patrol contacted the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office and reported that one of their Troopers was out on a traffic stop with the motorcycle. Nelson was the man on the motorcycle.

The Missouri Trooper asked Nelson about the motorcycle being stolen. Nelson told the Trooper that he had taken the motorcycle because he needed to leave Arkansas quickly.

Nelson was placed under arrest and transported back to Arkansas. Arrangements were made for the owner to pick up his motorcycle.
