Lawrence County Sheriff’s deputies continued the search this morning for Daniel Walling, the fleeing suspect involved in an accident on Big Creek bridge near Jesup that occurred yesterday afternoon by land as well as a helicopter aiding in search efforts.

Before 9:00 am this morning a phone tip was received that Walling had returned to a family member’s residence on 576 Grange Road. Lawrence County Sheriff’s deputies responded to that call and the suspect was found at the residence. He was taken into custody without further incidence and was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital to be checked out and treated for injuries sustained in the crash.

Walling will then be taken to the Lawrence County jail to await formal charges in the accident.
UPDATED: Walling is charged with negligent homicide and leaving the scene of an accident.

The female passenger of the vehicle Tiffany Ramsey , age 31 of Cave City, died from her injuries. Walling was seen running from the scene of the accident. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department Arkansas State Police, Strawberry Fire Department, AET Ambulance, Arkansas Highway Department and Office of Emergency Services worked well into the night and early morning hours to track down Walling.
