Accident near Jesup: Arkansas State Police and Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies are Searching for Fleeing Man

Update: the fleeing male suspects name is Daniel Walling. *photo below. Lawrence County Sheriff Jody Dotson notified Lawrence County Dispatch to pass on the area hospitals to be on the lookout for Mr. Walling , who is believed to have injuries from the accident and may seek medical treatment.

. At 2:18 pm the Lawrence County Dispatch Center received a report of a accident on Hwy. 117 on the Big Creek bridge near Jesup.

A female passenger was thrown from the vehicle. She was trapped between the vehicle and bridge when authorities arrived on scene.

The male driver fled the scene into a wooded area underneath the bridge and headed toward Smithville. Lawrence County Sheriff’s deputies and the Arkansas State Police are currently searching for the male who is wearing a blue polo shirt and has blond hair.

Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department are calling in search dogs to assist in finding the fleeing man. The vehicle came back registered to a Cave City address.
