On October 1, 2013 the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office arrested Brent Milde (26) of Poughkeepsie for theft of property. The arrest comes from a Smithville area farmer reporting that he had several items missing. Those items included short iron, tractor weights and two Craftsman tool boxes.
It was discovered  that Milde had sold some of the items to a salvage yard in Independence County.
Information gathered during the investigation was presented to a Judge and a warrant was issued for Milde.
Milde was located and placed under arrest without incident.
Milde was then transported to the Lawrence County Jail to await a bond hearing.
Milde is also on probation for forgery charges at this time.
