Melt in your mouth…Southern Pecan Praline Cake

Ingredients for a southern pecan praline cake with a frosting mixed into the cake batter! Be sure you make the delicious butter sauce for your topping. The ingredients can be found below the cake instructions.

For the Cake
1 box of Butter Pecan Cake Mix
1 tub of Coconut Pecan Frosting (the frosting goes in the cake mix!)
4 eggs
3/4 cup of oil
1 cup of water
1/2 cup of chopped pecans

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9×12 baking dish with nonstick spray. Combine all the cake ingredients except the chopped pecans and mix throughly. Gently stir in the chopped pecans for the cake.

Pour the cake mixture into your greased baking dish and bake for 40 minutes. Insert a toothpick in the middle of the cake to make sure it is done.

Now for the butter sauce for your cake topping.

For the Sauce
1 can of sweetened condensed milk
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Melt your butter in a small saucepan on the stove over medium heat. After the butter is melted pour in the can of sweetened condensed milk. Continue to stir until heated. Add in 1/2/ cup of chopped pecans. Stir and remove from heat.

Spoon the butter sauce over your pecan cake.
