On April 18, 2013 the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office arrested Christopher Gray (28) of Imboden on charges of possession of a controlled substance (meth), possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to manufacture meth, possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to use, driving on suspended driver’s license, factious tags and no proof of insurance. The arrest came after a deputy stopped Gray at Imboden on a traffic violation. When the deputy ran Gray’s information his license came back suspended, the tags did not belong to the vehicle and the vehicle had no insurance. The deputy asked Gray about the tags and Gray told him he had taken them off a vehicle from a junk yard. The deputy also learned that Gray was out on bond for drug charges from Randolph County. The deputy asked Gray for consent to search and was given consent. Inside the vehicle the deputy found meth, a syringe and items used in the manufacture of meth. Items included pseudoephedrine, batteries and drain cleaner. The deputy also found an unknown pink crystal substance that will be sent to the crime lab for analysis. Gray was placed under arrest and transported to the Lawrence County Jail to await a bond hearing.
