Locker Hooking Workshop

April 6  9 am – 4 pm

Registration Fee: $15

Ever wonder what our ancestors did with old clothing before the Salvation Army existed? Why, they recycled the fabric into many things! This workshop teaches participants the art of Locker Hooking: an old craft using scrap fabric to make beautiful rugs, placemats, chair seat covers, hand bags and more. Participants will learn how to design patterns on canvas, cut the fabric, and use the locker hook and yarn to create mats of all styles. In this class you will finish one piece and come away with the skills to create many more. Fee includes all materials. Please bring a sack lunch. To register, contact the park at 870-878-6765 or email powhatan@arkansas.com.
