Shortly before 3 pm on Friday, the Lynn Fire Department and AET Ambulance of Imboden were paged to a residence on Lawrence 305 after reports came in of a woman with a throat injury.

Firefighters, Lawrence County Deputies, Arkansas State Park Rangers and AET Ambulance arrived to find a female victim with a large slash to her throat. After speaking with the female it was determined that the woman was using an angle grinder when the tool bounced up and struck her in the throat, causing serious injury.

A medical helicopter was flown in and landed at the boat launch at Lake Charles. Deputies and Firefighters assisted the ambulance with a landing zone, the female was transported to an area hospital for treatment of her wounds.
