On February 12, 2013 the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jacob Douglas Gokey (32) of Black Rock on charges of theft of property. The arrest stems from a Black Rock resident reporting that their debit card had been taken and used with about $2500 being taken from their account. The case is part of an ongoing investigation with one subject already arrested, William Clay Lester. Investigators pulled video footage from Black Rock area businesses that show Gokey using the debit card also. The information was gathered, presented to a Judge and a warrant was issued. Deputies tracked down Gokey and placed him under arrest without incident. Gokey is awaiting a bond hearing in the Lawrence County Jail. Gokey and Lester are both currently in the Lawrence County Jail with Circuit Court dates of March 14.
