At 5:45 pm on Friday, Lawrence County Dispatch received a call of a male subject lying in a roadside ditch on Hwy 25 near Saffell. AET Ambulance, Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies and Black Rock Officers responded to area.
 
The original call described the male subject as acting suspicious, officers advised the ambulance to use caution after learning the identity of the subject. Residents in the area reported seeing the subject in the area at several residences. Officers searched the area where the man was seen but were unable to locate at first.
 
While searching, the subject emerged from hiding and then charges the officers according to reports. Officers were forced to deploy a Taser in order to take the man into custody. The subject was taken to the Lawrence County Jail, formal charges and the release of the subject’s identity are pending release by Sheriff Jody Dotson.
