On September 25, 2012 the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office arrested Asia Chappel (31) of Hoxie on a revocation of probation warrant. The arrest comes from Chappel being placed on probation back in 2009 for possession of a controlled substance. Since being placed on probation Chappel has not reported in with her probation officer and was listed as an absconder. A warrant was issued for Chappel and deputies started searching for her. Deputies received a tip from a concerned citizen that Chappel might be at a residence on County Road 701. Deputies found Chappel at the residence and she was placed under arrest without incident. Chappel was transported to the Lawrence County Jail. Bond was set at $10,000 and a Circuit Court date of October 1 was issued.
