On June 19 2012 the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office arrested Brent Milde (09/23/87) of Saffell on charges of forgery and theft of property. The arrest stems from another Saffell resident reporting that approximately 50 checks had been taken and forged with a total dollar amount of $5910. Deputies took the report and started the investigation. Copies of the checks were obtained from the bank and deputies started going to the businesses to inquire about the checks. Information gathered during the investigation led to Milde. Deputies tracked down Milde and questioned him about the checks. After his Miranda rights were read to him, Milde admitted to the deputies that he had taken the checks and had forged the checks. Deputies placed Milde under arrest and transported him to the Lawrence County Jail to await a bond hearing.
