Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office Arrest Powhatan Man For Rape After 15 Year Old Reports Sexual Assault

 On June 20, 2012 the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office arrested Rick Allen Williams (07/06/84) of Powhatan on charges of rape. The arrest came after a 15 year old female reported to family that Williams had sexually assaulted her in a camper that the girl was supposed to be cleaning near Saffell. The family called the Sheriff’s Office and Deputies responded where they found Williams a few minutes later. Evidence was gathered at the scene and the girl was sent to Arkansas Children’s Hospital for examination. Williams was arrested and transported to the Lawrence County Jail to await a bond hearing.
