Traffic Stop By An Arkansas State Trooper Lands Three In Lawrence County Jail For Drugs And Outstanding Warrants
An Arkansas State Trooper made a traffic stop Sunday afternoon involving a truck pulling a camper and another vehicle on Hwy 63 just outside Walnut Ridge. As the Trooper conducted his stop he was assisted by the Lawrence County K-9 Officer and officers from Walnut Ridge and Hoxie.
During the stop, the driver gave consent to search the vehicle. As the K-9 was walked around the vehicle, the K-9 alerted on the vehicle. Officers found Marijuana, Meth, Prescription Medicines and Drug Paraphernalia.
As the stop continued, officers ran checks on the subjects showing two of the three men with outstanding warrants. The driver and passenger of the truck were charged with possession of controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia, the third was taken in for outstanding warrants.
The vehicle was towed from the scene, the identities of the suspects has not been released by Sheriff Dotson at this time.
