On May 4, 2012 James F. Lundry (08/05/72) (white male) of Pocahontas was on work detail at the Walnut Ridge City Park. At about 12:30 pm Lundry walked away from his work assignment while the work crew was on lunch break. A short time later a black 2001 Ford Expedition was taken from a residence on Robin Lane in Walnut Ridge. Witnesses say a black male was seen taking the vehicle. A 911 call from the owner at 1:05 pm alerted officers of the stolen vehicle. A short time later the vehicle was spotted in Pocahontas by the estranged wife of Lundry driving by her residence; she called it in and said it was Lundry in the vehicle and that he was alone in the vehicle. Officers responded to the residence and surrounding area but did not locate Lundry or the vehicle. Officers spoke with family members of Lundry and they told officers that they felt he might try to get to St. Louis. Lundry was in Jail on charges of illegal use of vouchers (food stamps). Lundry is a white male age 39, medium build, brown eyes, 5ft 11inches tall and weighs about 155 lbs., he keeps his head shaved and has a little bit of facial hair. He also has tattoos on his left eye of a tear, on his back, chest and arms. If any sees Lundry please call the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office at 870-886-2525 or your local law enforcement.
