On April 29 the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office arrested Darren Weaver (04/24/88) of Pocahontas and Bennie Biby (03/26/55) of Ravenden for theft of property. The arrest stems from a truck that was reported stolen at Imboden on April 27. An Imboden resident reported that a 2004 Chevrolet truck was taken from their residence. The truck was valued at $5,000. Deputies took a report and had the truck entered as stolen. A statewide BOLO was issued on the truck. Deputies also learned that Weaver might be the subject who had taken the truck. A cell phone number was obtained for Weaver and the number was tracked. The phone showed to be in Pope County near Conway. Pope County was contacted and they were able to find Weaver and Biby with the truck. Both subjects were placed under arrest and the truck was recovered. Lawrence County deputies went to Pope County and transported the subjects back to the Lawrence County Jail to await a bond hearing.
