Shortly after 10 pm on Thursday night, the Lawrence County Dispatch Center received several calls reporting a home on fire off Rock Cove Road (Lawrence 224) in the Annieville area. The house was located on Lawrence 2170, just off Lawrence 224.

Imboden responded with it’s Rescue 4, Engine 6 and Rescue 3 units to the fire. The Ravenden Volunteer Fire Department also responded with an engine and several firemen for mutual aid.

Sergeant Rocky Chappell with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office was on duty and close to the area, he responded and was first on scene, relaying information to Chief Chris Jones that the residence was a total loss and appeared to be vacant. Once on scene, Chief Jones cancelled the Ravenden Fire Department. The residence was fully engulfed and on the ground when Imboden firefighters arrived, firemen encountered a power line down on the ground and requested Craighead Electric to respond.

The Imboden Volunteer Fire Department was on scene until a representative from Craighead Electric arrived and secured the downed line. AET Ambulance of Imboden responded with a unit to the scene. There were no injuries reported and the cause of the fire is unknown.
