After months of hard work and long hours, the Walnut Ridge Police Department is officially in it’s new home.

The September 18th fatal wreck that destroyed the old police station and seriously injured Animal Control Officer Robert Rice displaced the department for some two months.

The Walnut Ridge Police Department used offices in the Walnut Ridge Fire Department as a makeshift home until the new building could be transformed into the new WRPD home.

On the day of the September tragedy Chief Richy Thatcher and the other officers were only concerned with the loss of life and Robert Rice’s injuries, Thatcher told ImbodenLive “buildings can be replaced” and that’s exactly how the officers of the WRPD have reacted. We congratulate the Walnut Ridge Police Department for their hard work, enjoy your new facility.
