Sheriff Jody Dotson, members of the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office and volunteers from A.T.O.D. concluded this weeks Red Ribbon activities with Saturday’s Prescription Take Back Program.

 

Det. Andrew Turner and Logan Dotson with A.T.O.D. manned the Imboden Substation, Capt. Stan Finley, Deputy Duston Walker and members of A.T.O.D. were posted at the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office and Sheriff Dotson and members of A.T.O.D. were in attendance at the  Iron Mountain Festival. Each location had a “Drop Box” where unwanted prescription drugs could be discarded.

 

This is the 3rd program hosted by Sheriff Dotson, the program keeps unwanted prescription from being discarded improperly and also gives residents an opportunity to get rid of dangerous medication. Keeping medications from falling into the wrong hands or accidental poisonings are a high priority for the Sheriff.
