After a 5-3 win in the teams 100th Playoff Victory, Cardinals will face the Phillies in game 5, tied 2-2. The game 4 win was highlighted by David Freese who had a home run, double and drove in a total of 4 runs.
Friday nights game will be a pitchers duel, showcasing two of the games best pitchers, St. Louis ace Chris Carpenter and Philles counterpart Roy Halladay.
Albert Pujols received standing ovations each time he went to the plate, over 47,000 were in attendance. Many fans still question if this could be his last home appearance as a Cardinal.
One highlight of the game was the squirrel that interrupted the game in the 5th inning, causing Philly’s pitcher Oswalt and Manager Charlie Manuel to argue that the squirrel caused the pitcher to throw a ball, the argument was overruled.
Here’s an un-official keys to the game for St. Louis:
1) Carpenter needs to pitch deep into the game.
2)Pujols needs to connect with the ball (Albert was 0 for 4 in Wednesdays game)
3)Holiday and Berkman need good hitting games
4)Someone needs to take the “Lucky Squirrel” to Philly and let him loose during the 5th Inning!
GO CARDINALS !!!!!!!!!!!!
