Beginning on September 10th and staying for two weeks, the Arkansas Fallen Heroes Memorial will be in place here in Imboden, on Hwy 63 across from S&H Quick Shop. This will be the second year the memorial will be in Imboden.

The Arkansas Fallen Heroes Memorial was started in October 2005 as a Memorial Ride to honor Lcpl. Brian Chase Hopper who was killed in Iraq on January 26th, 2005. The organizers decided not to stop with one memorial, they made the decision to honor all fallen heroes with ties to Arkansas who lost their lives in the Global War on Terror.

The memorial has one 3’x5’ American flag for each of the fallen heroes. In front of the flag is a post with a photo and short story about each fallen hero. The memorial is a walk through event where you not only read the names but see the faces of the fallen hero.

The goal is to raise funds for a permanent memorial that would replicate the memorial flag field and be place in Jacksonville, AR. at the museum of military history.
