The Sloan Hendrix Schools in Imboden will begin the 2011-2012 school year on Monday, August 15th, according to a press release from Superintendent Mitch Walton. The school day will begin at 8:05am. School will dismiss at 3:10pm.

Elementary and middle school faculty and staff will be available to direct students in grades kindergarten through 7th to the appropriate classrooms.

Students grade 8-12 will begin the first day of school with an assembly in the Bill McCurley Gymnasium.

Pictures for the school yearbook will be taken for grades K through 12 on the first day.

Applications for the Free/Reduced Meal Program will be sent home with each student.

High School Athletic Physicals have been scheduled for August 8th at 1pm at the Lawrence Health Services. Buses will leave the Bill McCurley Gymnasium at 12:15PM. forms can be picked up in the Superintendent’s Office or High School Office.

Sloan Hendrix Schools will host an Open House and orentation on Thursday, August 11th from 5 to 7pm. Elementary, Middle and High School teachers will be available during the designated times in their respective buildings to meet with students and parents.

Also on August 11th, high school parents/students will have the opportunity to attend the orientation session at 6pm in the cafeteria. All 8th and 9th grade students and new students in grades 10 through 12 are encouraged to attend.

New students to the district may also register prior to the beginning of school at either the elementary or high school offices.
