In a conversation with the Imboden Volunteer Fire Chief, Jim Jones stated that he was surprised that the department had not had more fire calls during the recent hot tempetures. Jones credited the humidity for reducing the risk in our area.

Jones also stated that with out rain, a drop in the humidity could raise the risk of wildland fires in the area.

As always the Imboden Volunteer Fire Department ask residents to use caution when burning brush and always be aware of the weather conditions. The current conditions are not favorable for any type of burning.
