Sheriff Dotson today named the suspect in the Hoxie arson and the killing of a horse. Michael Ford of Tuckerman is wanted for Arson, Criminal Mischief, Felony Cruelty To Animals and being a Felon In Possession Of A Firearm. The charges are from an incident in Hoxie Monday night in which a home, several vehicles and an RV was burned.

 

During the arson, the suspect shot the homeowners horse with a 357 magnum pistol, killing the horse. Deputies from Jackson County and Lawrence County searched Tuesday for the suspect, but he was not found. Ford lives in the Tuckerman area but has a Craighead County address according to Sheriff Dotson.
