On June 16, 2011 the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Dept. arrested Colton Pins (01/15/91) of Imboden for theft of property, criminal trespass and criminal mischief. The arrest came after deputies took a report of a stolen boat, motor and trailer from Imboden and also some stolen power unit batteries on the Lawrence/Randolph County line. The boat was chained to a post support on a shed building, when the boat was hauled off it snapped the post causing damage to the shed. The batteries were tracked down to a salvage yard in Randolph County and Pins had sold them in his own name. Investigators went and spoke to Pins and he admitted to taking the boat and the batteries. The boat was recovered and returned to the owner. Pins also took items from Randolph County. Pins was placed under arrest and bond was set at $10,000 for the charges in both counties and a Lawrence County Circuit Court date of June 29 was issued.
