On April 29, 2011 the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Dept arrested James Kevin Mann (12/12/72) of Walnut Ridge for possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of a prohibited weapon (sawed off shotgun). The arrest came a deputy noticed a green vehicle sitting in the middle of County Road 620 and that vehicles had to drive around it. The deputy went to check on the vehicle sitting in the middle of the road. The deputy made contact with Mann and asked him about being in the middle of the road. The deputy then ran Mann’s driver’s license and he showed to be on parole. The deputy then noticed the sawed off shotgun in the floorboard of the vehicle and placed Mann under arrest. Mann was transported to the Lawrence County Jail to await a bond hearing. Bond was set at $5,000 and a Circuit Court date was issued for May 18.
